'fraid not, the establishment is my easel!

It doesn't stop there though. In true viral style a copy of the exhibit finds itself at the prestigious Crime Academy at the Metropolitan Police Training centre in Hendon. Not the best picture, but subterfuge with a smile wins the day.

Viral Art at the Walker Gallery

Another viral art 'infection' by the infamous Iveski, this time at Liverpool's prestigious Walker Art Gallery, part of National Museums. Unlike the previous attempt at the Tate Modern, this was an unmitigated success. Upon entering the gallery, I made a bee-line to the contempory section. Finding podium space next to some video art, I left my sculpture together with a plaque explaining it:

"The Object of my Affliction (2007). In this instance the artist (me) utilises multiple unstained secions of his own malignant brain tumour, mounted on microscope slides, to express his contempt for the direction the new 'Britartists' have taken. Quite literally a piece of his diseased mind for a diseased subject."

I am honoured to be in such distinguished company as, Rembrandt, Rubens, Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Matisse, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Stubbs and Lowry.

Tracy Emin? She can wish! Only real artists here!

These stickers on a London Overground train. Contentious and thought provoking in the current climate. Humorous through their irony, yet indistinguishable from a real warning sign because they are so well made and well placed. But is it viral art?

Viral Art at the V and A

Ever been to a pretentious art gallery and thought, 'I could do just as good as that, if not better'? Well, I did, and armed with a copy of one of my favourite photos mounted in an identical frame to the gallery's, and a freshly engraved plaque, again identical to the gallery’s, I covertly seized an opportunity to show my efforts off to the world, well… London.
A bit about the photograph; I took the photo in January 1990 in Berlin. I arrived at the time the infamous Wall was being pulled down. Having helped smash a fresh breach in the wall with a sledgehammer, I peeked through to find two East German border guards locked in casual conversation in 'no-mans land'. Out comes my trusty ol' Nikon 401 35mm - Gotcha!
